The following are references to the key manufacturing and installation standards and guidelines applicable to the resilient flooring industry in Australia. Note that manufacturers may have their own standards with respect to installation of their products.

- AS 1884-2021: Floor coverings—Resilient sheet and tiles—Installation practices. This Standard sets out procedures for the preparation, laying and fixing of resilient sheet and tile floor coverings in all forms including flexible PVC, semi-rigid PVC, linoleum, and rubber. It also applies to self-adhesive tiles.
- AS 4586-2013: Slip resistance classification of new pedestrian surface materials (under review). This Standards sets out means of classifying pedestrian surface materials according to their frictional characteristics.
- HB 197:1999: An introductory Guide to the Slip Resistance of Pedestrian Surface Materials. This Handbook provides guidelines for the selection of slip-resistant pedestrian surfaces classified in accordance with AS/NZS 4586:1999. It recommends minimum floor surface classifications for a variety of locations, and includes a commentary on the test methods set out in AS/NZS 4586, as well as information on the consideration of ramped surfaces. Published in conjunction with the CSIRO.
- SA HB 198:2014: Guide to the specification and testing of slip resistance of pedestrian surfaces. This Handbook provides guidance on the application of slip resistance Standards, AS 4586—2013 and AS 4663—2013, and commentary on relevant parts of the National Construction Code (NCC).
- EN 13419-1: 2003 Building Products -Determination of the Emission of Volatile Organic Compounds -Part 1: Emission Test Chamber Method. This international standard describes a general laboratory test method for determination of the area specific emission rate of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from newly produced building products under defined climate conditions.
